5Little book, A LOT of great recipesOct 20, 2010
By Becky Rose
I got this from my son's school fundraiser for ten bucks - so less that that is a bargain (which I see on here).

It's broken up into the following sections:

Introduction
Smart Starts
Small Plates
Hot and Hearty
Better Birds
Snacks and Treats
Index

The short list that is broken down into Red Light Yellow Light and Green Light is helpful, telling you which products have gluten, which ones might, and which ones dont. A cheat sheet per say for beginners.

It's not dairy free as well, so you may have to modify some of the recipes.

Unlike many of the gluten-free books - it's not only packed with sweets!

Some recipes I enjoyed are:
Smoked Salmon Hash Browns
Goat Cheese and Tomato Omelet
Mini Carnitas Tacos
Zucchini W/ Toasted Chickpea Flour - YUM
Thai Salad Rolls w/Spicy Sweet & Sour Sauce
Asparagus-Parmesan Risotto
Indian Style Apricot Chicken
Orange Almond Chicken

AND - okay, I did go for the sweets too! The Flourless Peanut Butter Cookies are by far my favorite GF cookies EVER. They're wonderful. I hope the Chocolate Coconut Almond Macaroons are good - going to try those soon.

Going to try the Cranberry-Orange Rice Pudding tonight. Great purchase!
